As a wedding and family photographer my days are filled to the brim with love stories, happy families, and brand new babies. This brings me joy daily and is why I am constantly pinching myself that this is my job. I have created this blog to give you a place to scroll through the happenings at JBP because all of this happiness shouldn't be kept in a bottle it should be shared! All of our couples and families are special and unique in their own way and it's reflected in the photographs I take of them. The beautiful locations you will see throughout the blog are also a great way to pull inspiration for your next photoshoot. As always, I can't wait to have you in front of my camera so we can make some magic.

back to blog

We were delighted to welcome former bride & Emmy Award winning producer, Tara Fogarty-Graziano, as a guest host on the Dear Bride Podcast! JBP photographed Tara’s wedding back in 2016 and it was an absolute dream. We were blown away with Tara’s creative workings & personal touches so needless to say… we were shocked to learn that she had worked her magic to save 50K on her wedding celebration! {insert shocked emoji face!} Listen to our podcast using the music player below and let us know what you think! This is just the beginning! More wedding tips & insider knowledge to come <3 If you like what you hear, subscribe on your favorite podcast platform!

Here are some of our favorite photos from Tara & Joe’s Wedding!

Personalized details from Tara’s favorite cowboy boots to their rustic hand-torn invitation.
The beautiful notes that Joe wrote to Tara to display at her bridal shower made their way to the wedding. Because….of course they did! He is literally the sweetest!!
One of our favorite first looks of all time! What a clever idea!
Tara & Joe were married at their dream venue, Brecknock Hall on the North Fork of Long Island.
Money saving tip #5: Have your ceremony & reception at the same location.
Have you ever seen a more adorable couple??
Money Saving Tip #2: Split costs with the couple getting married the day before/after you!
Tara saved $7,500 splitting the tent cost with another couple!
Money Saving Tip #3: Opt for a family style dinner! The elegance of a sit down dinner minus the price point of a plated meal. Plus, everyone gets to try a little of everything!
Money Saving Tip #4: Be involved in choosing dinnerware! Different serving platters will cost more or less depending on the size/shape. If the shape of a plate is not
on your priority list, you can save here!
They fell in love on a park bench, so it made perfect sense to incorporate this into their wedding day. Tara & Joe built this bench together <3 #daawwwww
